OK, I know the title is pure clickbait (sorry), but when I saw this story over on Primal Palate, I just had to share it here…

Meet Anthony d’Amato:

Anthony has clearly undergone a pretty amazing transformation, and in this post we’ll get into the details of how he did it.

I’ve always said that losing weight is no great mystery, it’s simply a question of choosing the right foods and being at peace with those choices.

And if you ever needed proof of that, here it is…

Anthony’s story

Let’s cut to the chase:

Over the course of just one year, Anthony managed to lose a whopping 210lbs — that’s an average of 4lbs per week folks!

Aside from the obvious changes to his physical appearance, Anthony’s incredible transformation has drastically improved his health:

“I was always bloated, always in pain, and my digestion was a mess. At the time, I thought that was normal. I was actually scared for my life.”

The key statement here: “I thought that was normal”.

It’s only when you’ve been eating healthy for a while that you realise how shit you used to feel, and how it never even occurred to you that something might not be quite right.

Luckily, Anthony was conscious of the danger his weight posed and this spurred him into action.

That decision has probably extended his life a great deal, and has even opened doors and helped him to progress in his musical career!

But how did he do it?

Did he meticulously count calories? Did he completely cut out carbs or fat? Maybe he exercised religiously 4-5 times a week?

Nope.

He ate Paleo, and went for a walk every morning. That’s it.

Nothing extreme — just a simple change of diet and a little moderate activity every day, and Anthony was able to drop a staggering amount of weight and transform his life.

And he did it all without having to watch how much (or how often) he ate:

“I ate more that year than I ever have before. I was eating throughout the day and would know when to stop… I found that I could eat, and then not eat, because I was so fulfilled by the things I was eating.”

While his frequent walking undoubtedly helped, the success (and apparent ease) of Anthony’s transformation is all down to his Paleo-style diet:

“I found Paleo through various blogs. It took awhile to figure everything out, but the more I read the more I GOT it. Paleo really made sense to me.”
